The main focus of the Institute is Outcome Based Education and Learning. Impetus is laid on imparting excellent theoretical as well as practical knowledge and development of skills which inculcates sense of employability in students and empower them to solve the challenging problems of the society.
GP, Valsad has a team of motivated faculty members with diverse specialization and qualifications, all selected through Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC).
The entire faculty ensures that the students not only become efficient technical professionals but also develop into good human beings who participate effectively in the task of Nation Building.
Government Polytechnic, Valsad is one of the oldest Polytechnic of Gujarat. It was established in 1965 and spreads on an area of 28 Acres.
Government Polytechnic, Valsad is approved by AICTE, affiliated to GTU and administered by DTE, Gandhinagar.
Government Polytechnic, Valsad was initially started with Only Three Branches Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering. Today it has SEVEN Branches {Civil Engg. Mechanical Engg. Electrical Engg. Chemical Engg. Plastic Engg. Information Technology (IT) and CAD\CAM} with an annual intake of 900 .
Two Branches Chemical Engg. And Civil Engg. Have NBA Accreditation.
