PROCESSING LABORATORY

The Plastics processing department of PLASTIC ENGG., GP VALSAD is equipped with both the conventional processing machines as well as modern micro processor controlled processing machines and provides a broad range of practical training to students. As a measure of providing hands on training to the students on commercial moulding and processing of different plastic materials using various process parameters, various processing equipments are installed in the laboratory. PROCESSING LAB is undertaking various experiments in the areas of subject as per the syllabus designed by university include Inspection, proving and evaluation of moulds and dies and moulding of components. it also covers the testing of mouldability and optimization of processing conditions/parameters. Available equipments/machinery: • Single screw extruder • Automatic injection molding machine • Two stage air compressor • Blow molding machine

The Testing Laboratory equipped with various machineries and equipments imparts hands on practical training to students in the areas of subject as per the syllabus designed by university includes testing and quality control assignments, plastics materials/ products/ composites testing/inspection.
