Preamble

•      Government Polytechnic, Valsad a premier educational institution in the South Gujarat is in its Diamond Jubilee year. To mark this landmark in the annals of the college and to reaffirm its commitment to the vision the college, Diamond Jubilee celebrations will be held throughout the year 2025. With its glorious past and promising future, the College has identified Indian Knowledge System as the theme of this year in tune with implementation of National Education Policy 2020. Students have a plethora of great ideas to celebrate this milestone! So much has been accomplished in the past 60 years in terms of the college facility like Buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and equipment- education infrastructure, academic program, arts and athletics, enrichment classes, field trips and special events, and the nurturing of a diverse, supportive, and very special community! The experience of being in this green landscape of Government Polytechnic, Valsad is empowering with its seamless co-existence between nature and man, and between living and learning. The campus vibrates with the positivity endowed by Bharat Ratna Ex Prime Minister of India Late Shri Morarajibhai Desai. GP Valsad is actually a home away from home for its student and they are learning anything and everything in various dimensions from books, teachers, peers and even college environs. There is no denying how significant a college is in shaping up a student’s personality and holistic learning process. Like an experienced teacher and teaching pedagogy play a critical role in shaping students’ academic lives, infrastructure is also vital. It creates a favorable environment for students’ holistic development. There exists a perception that students in colleges with poor infrastructure can have lower scores than those with access to better infrastructure facilities. This makes school infrastructure a key element in a student’s academic as well as holistic growth.
